Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal, JSC NPP "Salyut" and Nizhny Novgorod SEC signed a cooperation agreement

On February 19, 2021, JSC NPP Salyut (part of the Roselektronika holding of Rostec State Corporation), JSC Nizhegorodsky Vodokanal and ANO Nizhegorodsky REC signed a cooperation agreement.

Within the framework of cooperation, the pilot project will be the introduction of a simulator with virtual and augmented reality technologies at Vodokanal.

In this project, the Nizhny Novgorod REC has become a link between the developer and the consumer.

"The Salyut Research and Production Enterprise is a partner of the Nizhny Novgorod REC. They asked us to help them find a customer for their development. The event that is taking place today is the final result of the activity of the Nizhny Novgorod Scientific and Educational Center. At the end, we get a project that is of great importance for the whole city in the future. I think that similar digital technologies may be in demand in other regions, " said Igor Fedyushkin, Director of the Nizhny Novgorod REC.

The simulator will allow you to simulate emergency situations as accurately as possible, help specialists work out methods for eliminating and preventing industrial accidents, and also reduce time and financial costs for training, adaptation and re-certification of personnel.

The complex will also allow you to organize training for new employees in a virtual environment before starting working on real equipment.

"Optimization of any technological processes is ultimately an improvement in the quality of a service or product. In this case, we are talking about services in the field of water supply and sanitation. And for the company's employees, this means increasing their comfort and competence in managing complex technological processes, "said Pavel Markov, General Director of JSC Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal.

Alexander Bushuev, General Director of Salyut NPP JSC, noted that the use of virtual and augmented reality (ARVR) is one of the steps to improve the efficiency of employees in various fields of activity.

"AR/VR technologies can be successfully used not only in organizations dealing with urban water supply, but also in other housing and utilities facilities in the transport system, in any production, in the education system, in the tourism sector," said Alexander Bushuev.
