On April 21 and 22, scientists of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) from the city of Dubna near Moscow are holding a series of scientific events at Tula universities. Today, this institute is one of the leading world–class scientific centers.

At the meeting of scientists with the First Deputy Governor of the Tula region Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, the topics of interaction with the REC "Tulatech", the creation of a target catalog of scientific equipment and components that could be produced by Tula enterprises for large-scale projects of the institute were discussed. There was also a proposal to organize internships and lectures at JINR for Tula physics teachers.

In addition, the possibility of opening an information center of the institute on the basis of Tula State University (TulSU) was considered.

Scientists of the Institute offered Tula enterprises their developments for introduction into production.

- Cooperation with JINR is a serious step towards the development of science in the region. Partnership with an international scientific center of this level will significantly increase the potential and capabilities of Tula researchers. The importance of this was noted by the Governor of the Tula region Alexey Dyumin, — Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said.

During the visit, JINR laboratory researchers together with scientists from TulSU and Tolstoy Tula State Pedagogical University will conduct a series of lectures for Tula researchers on key areas of scientific activity:

- materials science;

- mathematics and computer science;

- chemistry, biology and physics.

On April 21, the Materials Science section was held at TulSU. The lecturers examined the methods of condensed matter physics research, the topic of neutron measurements of crystallographic texture, shape memory in titanium-based powder alloys, etc.

The sections "Mathematics and Computer Science" and "Chemistry, Biology and Physics" will start working on April 22 at Tolstoy TSPU.
