Registration of school teams for participation in the second case tournament of the Engineering League was completed today. 56 participating teams received the task (54 teams from Kuzbass, 2 teams from the Republic of Khakassia).
The theme of the spring tournament of the educational project "SCHOOLS of REC" is "Green technologies of Kuzbass". In the course of solving the case, young project authors should give their own assessment of the coal grades of the Kuznetsk coal basin from the point of view of the development of a coal-chemical cluster in the region. Choose a coal processing technology. In the end, a chain of "extraction-processing-sale" should be formed, that is, students will have to work out the most optimal options for sales markets for coal-chemical products at the final stage.
A prerequisite for the implementation of the case is also to work out the issue related to the disposal of industrial waste and offer optimal sources of financing.
The finished solution of the case must be submitted for evaluation by the expert commission by April 26, 2021, at 19: 00 Kemerovo time. Curatorial teachers will help students. The qualifying stage of the Kuzbass Engineering League Spring Tournament will be held in absentia. The top 10 teams will be invited to face-to-face defense of their decisions in mid-May 2021.
Let us remind you that another direction of the educational track "SCHOOLS of REC" - "Entrepreneurship" will also start in April, and in May – "Landscape Design" and "Digital Agronomy".
