Audience of the Competence Development Center Eurasian REC opened in Bashgau

Today, on September 29, two events took place at Bashkir State Agrarian University: the opening of the audience of the Competence Development Center of the Eurasian REC and the start of the "REC Lecture Hall" at the new scientific and educational site of the university.

Distributed audiences of the Eurasian REC are already functioning at three sites – BASHGU, UGATU and BSPU named after M. Akmulla.

"REC audiences are created in the participating universities of the Eurasian REC.

It is important for us that scientists meet, communicate, discuss their current issues and hold inter-university events. Together with the university administration, we have tried to ensure that the new space meets all modern requirements. Lectures, conferences, meetings and educational programs can be held in the auditorium," Polina Gomzina, representative of the REC management company, said in her welcoming speech.

The Competence Development Center of the Eurasian REC implements many projects aimed at developing competencies. Strengthening the material base of universities inevitably leads to an increase in the quality of the educational process – after all, science begins with a desk. Such formation of a comfortable environment for students to study will certainly lead to an increase in interest in obtaining knowledge in universities of the Eurasian REC. The audience will become the center for the implementation of new

educational programs and development of competencies in an agricultural university.

The event was moderated by the Director of Innovative Development of Bashkir GAU, Zaria Zalilova, who announced the start of a new season of the "REC Lecture Hall" at the new site of the university.

The popular scientific lecture "A brief history of crop production: from domestication to genomic selection" for scientists, students and university teachers was read by plant geneticist, graduate student of the Laboratory of Digital Agriculture of Skoltech Rim Gubaev. The young scientist spoke about breakthrough projects in the field of genomic breeding, about how genetic engineering is changing the world. And if you don't know yet that the seeds of a plant can be protected from modification by firing from a gene gun

Skoltech and as a result of such informal communication, preliminary agreements were reached on cooperation in the research direction of the participants of the Eurasian REC - Bashkir GAU and Skoltech.

– The University is working to accelerate the selection process in crop production, so research on the analysis and study of the source material for our university is very relevant, – said Ilgiz Asylbayev, Dean of the Faculty of Agrotechnology and Forestry of Bashkir State Agrarian University.
