"We and the Nizhny Novgorod Region are now setting up points of interaction on projects related to resource conservation, greening, maybe with health care," said Ekaterina Zhuravleva, head of the science Department of the administration of the Governor of the Belgorod Region. – These are the projects that are interesting to both us and colleagues. We are also solving the problem of combining the scientific and production resources of two large RECs, taking into account our and their experience. We have been cooperating horizontally for a long time, and now we hope to build strong vertical ties in order to make a breakthrough, which our leaders are talking about today and setting tasks."
Ilya Khramov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod region, stressed that the Belgorod REC is the only one in Russia specializing in agriculture.
"According to the decision of our regional leadership, in the work of the Nizhny Novgorod REC, the direction "Agroecology" was singled out separately, a team was formed. We know that the Belgorod region has very large competencies in agro-industrial science, interaction between education, science and production has been established. We have come to get acquainted with the accumulated experience," Khramov said.
Taking into account the extensive experience and qualifications of the Belgorod REC in the field of breeding and genetic research projects, health-saving technologies, rational nature management and the agro-industrial complex as a whole, the team of the agro-ecological direction of the Nizhny Novgorod Scientific and Educational Center planned to visit the REC "Innovative solutions in Agriculture" in order to exchange experience in terms of project management, the functioning of the REC system, as well as improving the overall level of competence of Nizhny Novgorod employees in interaction with the agricultural industry.
The delegation included Ilya Nikolaevich Khramov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Head of the agro-ecological direction of the Nizhny Novgorod REC, Professor, Doctor of Biological Sciences Alexander Gennadievich Samodelknn, an employee of the analytics Department of the ANO Nizhny Novgorod REC, Vladislav Aleksandrovich Krasheninnikov.
During the visit, on June 7, a meeting was already held in the Regional Government with the participation of the curator of the Belgorod REC - Deputy head of the Administration of the Governor of the region - head of the Department of Science Ekaterina Zhuravleva, participants of the world-class scientific and educational center "Innovative solutions in Agriculture" - representatives of scientific organizations, educational organizations of higher education, organizations of the real sector of the economy, as well as the department of the agro-industrial complex of the region. Over the next two days, colleagues will visit the sites of the participants of the Belgorod REC, get acquainted with the projects of the Belgorod Scientific Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Belgorod GAU and the National Research University of BelSU, project managers and organizations, as well as their laboratories, material and technical base and discuss ways of further interaction in areas of cooperation of interest.
