On March 3, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko and the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov visited Rosneft's training laboratories at the Ufa State Petroleum Technical University in Ufa. They are part of the world-class Eurasian Scientific and Educational Center.

The laboratories are located in a five-storey building with an area of 6 thousand square meters. m and equipped with the latest equipment. Recall that they began work in December 2022 in the renovated building of the Mining and petroleum Faculty of the university.

More than 800 students and postgraduates will study here every year. The educational process was organized in 14 laboratories in the field of exploration and drilling, 12 in the development and operation of deposits, eight classes of digital modeling and two laboratories of technosphere safety.

Dmitry Chernyshenko and Radiy Khabirov talked with teachers and students, including from Vietnam, Cuba and African countries, who are mastering the maintenance of a drilling rig and work on auxiliary equipment.

– It is extremely important that students from friendly countries study at the University of Bashkortostan. They study our technologies, then implement them in their homeland. We export domestic developments through them," Dmitry Chernyshenko said.

The Rector of USNTU Oleg Baulin spoke about the possibilities of the scientific and educational space. Thus, at the center for digital technologies "RN- BashNIPIneft" undergraduates are trained to work with software developed by Rosneft specialists. Students are engaged in the topic of artificial intelligence and work with large amounts of data. In particular, they design complex wells and simulate various situations in the fields. Thus, ready-made specialists who have received practical work skills come to Rosneft.

Dmitry Chernyshenko and Radiy Khabirov also got acquainted with the training drilling ground, where they mounted a modern automated hydraulic drilling wrench with software control. The simulator simulator of well overhaul is integrated into a multi-user computer laboratory with simultaneous connection of 15 workstations.

– USPTU is the only branch university in the country, on the site of which there is a full–fledged drilling rig for obtaining practical skills, – Oleg Baulin explained. – Such complexes are used at many oil and gas enterprises. Students of the Ufa Fuel and Energy College and students of specialized specialties from other regions of Russia will be able to work with the installation on our base. Representatives of foreign countries also receive unique experience.

The Rector of USNTU noted the need to build a new dormitory for the increasing flow of students from other regions and countries. Dmitry Chernyshenko supported this initiative and promised to provide the necessary assistance.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia highly appreciated the potential of the Rosneft training base.

"This is an example of the effective use of the tools offered by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia – Priority 2030, world–class scientific and educational centers, advanced engineering schools and other projects that help achieve results in cooperation with a technological customer," Dmitry Chernyshenko summed up.
