In 2023, 100 million rubles will be allocated from the budget of the Sverdlovsk region for these purposes

The Governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev approved the financing of projects of the Ural Interregional Scientific and Educational Center. In 2023, 100 million rubles will be allocated from the regional budget for the development of advanced innovative projects.

The funds will be used to reimburse the costs of the introduction into industrial production of research and development work carried out by the institutes of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and universities at the participating enterprises of the UMNOC of the Sverdlovsk region. The maximum amount of co-financing in 2023 will be 25 million rubles for one project. The competition for co-financing of projects will be announced by the end of March.

As Evgeny Kuyvashev noted earlier, the authorities of the Sverdlovsk region, the largest industrial center of the country, pay special attention to supporting scientific research and implementing their results in the real sector of the economy. These tasks are fully met by the work that is being carried out within the framework of UMNOC.

The Ural Interregional Scientific and Educational Center was created within the framework of the national project "Science and Universities" of the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk and Kurgan regions. The Center serves as the core of scientific and industrial cooperation for the implementation of world-class projects, and is also a training base for unique specialists, including world-class engineering personnel.

In 2021 and 2022, by the decision of the governor, 100 million rubles were also allocated for the development of UMNOC. This made it possible to provide support for the implementation of R&D at ten enterprises of the region. Thus, the company "Ai-TOR" has established the production of intelligent small-sized sensors for power grids. Prosoft-Systems together with UrFU implemented a project aimed at improving approaches to digital management of electric power facilities. Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant has modernized and introduced into industrial production a line of Bono neonatal medical devices for the treatment and care of premature babies. The company "Aksalit soft" together with UrFU has developed an optical separator for automatic sorting of MSW.
