Sibirsky Cement continues to implement the program for the introduction of an automated process control system (APCS). Currently, its cost is estimated at 480 million rubles, of which about 70 million will be allocated this year.

The company started large-scale automation in 2017, when it was planned to allocate 300 million rubles to solve these problems. Due to the expansion of the company, the package of investment projects has also grown, and it was decided to extend the automation program until 2025.

It is planned to build a reliable, fault-tolerant automated process control system that covers all production processes as much as possible. Systems of technological dispatching, technical and commercial accounting of steam, compressed air, energy and other resources, and laboratory analysis systems will be put into commercial operation. A separate area of work will be the launch of technological video surveillance. Specialists will pay special attention to the implementation of optimal algorithms for controlling technological equipment and their improvement.

"Even now, we can monitor the condition of equipment in real time, monitor the progress of production processes, receive laboratory test results, and take measures to eliminate problems, "says Sergey Sheptalin, Executive Vice President of Sibtsem HC JSC. "In the future, we plan to create an advanced management system that includes automating the processes of dosing raw components; studying the physical and chemical properties of raw materials and semi-finished products in the flow with subsequent use of the obtained data in dosing and mixing algorithms; integration with enterprise ERP systems."
