The Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kuzbass Irina Ganieva made a report at a meeting of the working group on the preparation of a set of measures aimed at improving safety in the coal industry. The event was held as part of the second day of the XXX anniversary International Specialized Exhibition of mining Technologies "Coal of Russia and Mining". The Minister's speech was about the implementation of projects included in the comprehensive scientific and technical program (CSTP) of the full innovation cycle "Clean Coal - green Kuzbass".

To date, the document, which unites 15 major projects in the field of highly efficient coal mining and processing, the introduction of robotics and digital solutions to improve working conditions of personnel, a general increase in the level of industrial safety at enterprises of a priority industry for the region, is the first and only one in the country approved by the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation within the framework of a world-class scientific and educational center.

- Experts of the KuZbass Scientific and Educational Center in collaboration with teams of universities, scientific organizations of our region and leading specialized centers of the country have been creating and finalizing the program for two years. The proposed projects are aimed, for example, at the development of modern methods of degassing coal seams, the introduction of robotic systems in mines, automated and unmanned equipment in quarries. As the Governor of Kuzbass Sergey Tsivilev noted in his address to the participants of the round table "Reducing the dependence of the Russian coal industry on imports" - coal miners, machine builders and scientists should work in a consortium to address priority areas for the country and Kuzbass in order to overcome the difficulties caused by unprecedented sanctions pressure from unfriendly countries, - Irina Ganieva noted.
