The delegation of "Engineering of the Future" led by Olga Mikheeva, Adviser to the Governor of the Samara Region and Director General of the Institute of Regional Development visited Penza.
The visit began with a meeting with Acting Governor of the Penza Region Oleg Melnichenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Penza Region Oleg Yagov, Acting Deputy Prime Minister Valery Bespalov, Acting Minister of Industry and Innovation Mikhail Torgashin and Acting Minister of Education of the Penza Region Alexander Voronkov in the House of Soviets. The meeting was also attended by key representatives of the executive authorities of the region.
The delegation of the Institute of Regional Development –IRR), the management company of the Center, held a presentation of the world-class REC project "Engineering of the Future", after which the parties discussed further plans and agreed on operational steps for development.
Oleg Melnichenko learned with interest about the details of the team's work on the REC project and said that he was considering the implementation of high-tech technological projects in the field of engineering competencies in the Penza region. The head of the region decided to send Oleg Yagov from the Penza region to the Supervisory Board of the REC.
The meeting also identified a representative of the IRR in the region.
On the same day, representatives of the "Engineering of the Future" managed to visit Penza State University and hold a conversation with Rector Alexander Gulyakov and Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Sergey Vasin.
The guests were shown an electronic library, state-of-the-art classrooms and a business incubator. Here Olga Mikheeva told her colleagues about the work with young people carried out by Engineering of the Future, about the creation of an unprecedented project - the youth REC.
Then Andrey Rosen, Head of the Department of Welding, Foundry and Materials Science, demonstrated a unique development of the PSU - explosion welding.
The result of the warm meeting was the decision to strengthen joint work in a wide variety of areas. The IRR will return to hospitable Penza more than once, especially since the invitation of the Head of the region to the InnoMed forum, a key event in the Penza region in the field of medical industry and healthcare, has already been received.
