Innovative technologies in construction for extreme Arctic conditions

New technological solutions to improve the stability and safety of the operation of construction structures in high latitudes will be presented by Russian scientists in the second section of the forum "Development of the Russian Arctic in the programs of world-class scientific and educational centers" of the sixth section, which will be held in Pomorie from November 15 to 17.

The work of the section is devoted to the research and creation of modern innovative building materials resistant to the effects of low temperatures and corrosion, as well as methods for studying the soils of the Arctic territories.

The topic of the report of the head of the Department of Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation of the St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering Nikolai Ponomarev is devoted to the results of the study of thermal insulation materials and structures for heat supply systems in the Arctic zone of Russia. Including non-autoclaved foam concrete used for thermal insulation of pipelines by dispersed fiber reinforcement, which increases its operational characteristics.

"New steels and concretes for the development of the Arctic infrastructure" will be presented by Associate Professor of the Department of Functional Nanosystems and High-temperature Materials of NUST MISIS Bekzod Haidarov and his colleague Denis Kuznetsov, Director of the REC of Energy Efficiency.

The topic of the report of the assistant of the Department of Engineering Geology, Foundations and Foundations of the Higher Engineering School of the Lomonosov NARFU Sergey Churkin "Innovative equipment for the study of the heaving properties of soils". Arkhangelsk scientists have developed their own methods for forecasting and taking into account the features of Arctic soils necessary for the design of buildings and highways in areas with frozen soils.
