It was with such headlines that 2 articles appeared at once in the newspapers Argumenty i Fakty and Rossiyskaya Gazeta, which covered the projects of the Belgorod REC on "machine vision" or "artificial intelligence" in the field of agro-industrial complex.

The described projects are implemented within the framework of the activities of the scientific and Educational Center "Innovative Solutions in Agriculture" together with the V.A. Trapeznikov Institute of Management Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences. One of the largest agricultural holdings in the region "Agro-Belogorye" and "Belgorod FANC RAS" (Federal Agrarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences) became experimental sites for them.

As a result of the development of one of the projects, a system of production analytics for pig farms will be created, which will allow, without the use of invasive diagnostic methods, only with the help of video surveillance, to recognize various deviations from the norms in animal behavior, predict risks and select optimal treatment regimens.

The result of the other will be the creation of a web service and a mobile application for automatic recognition of diseases of major crops using deep neural network technologies.
