Within the framework of the study, an independent assessment of the activities of a wide range of regional and highly specialized universities was carried out, based on the realization of their educational and scientific potential and impact on the social environment. The published ratings, compiled separately for each federal district of the country, included 304 educational organizations from 79 regions of the Russian Federation.
The rating of universities in the Siberian Federal District was headed by Kemerovo State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia. In total, 34 universities are included in the SFO rating. The places in the local rankings were distributed on the basis of final scores determined by the sum of the university grades according to three rating factors: "Education", "Science" and "Society".
Local rankings are the largest study in terms of the number of Russian universities evaluated. They rely solely on objective data from independent sources, and in the list of criteria, special attention is paid to indicators characterizing the conditions for the training of high-quality personnel and the regional significance of the university.
