A new scientific and educational project "REC Lecture Hall" is being launched in the republic. Now you have the opportunity not only to learn about science firsthand, but also to ask questions to scientists.

Leading university professors and world-renowned scientists will share their advanced scientific knowledge at the lecture hall. They will talk about science, new technologies and innovations.

We invite schoolchildren, undergraduates, postgraduates, teachers, scientists, as well as anyone who is interested in acquiring new knowledge and wants to "touch science" to the "REC Lecture Hall".

A consortium of world-class Eurasian REC universities and research organizations opens the REC Lecture Hall with a series of public lectures by leading Skoltech scientists.

The first online lecture on " Artificial intelligence and man. What is the future of our minds?" It will take place on March 2, (TUE) at 14: 00 (Moscow time).

Today, artificial intelligence is everywhere: in advertising, medicine, the automotive industry, and even agriculture. It is not surprising, because artificial intelligence solves many problems not only better than humans, but also several times faster. It is AI that allows you to automate routine procedures.

What are the prospects for AI development? Will the computer replace the human mind, and if so, when and in what areas first? Can we create an artificial intelligence that will solve a wide range of tasks independently? How do I avoid making mistakes? What are the opportunities and risks of using IT technologies? What issues of AI regulation arise with the development of the technology?

Speaker: Maxim Fedorov-Skoltech Vice President for Artificial Intelligence and Mathematical Modeling, Professor, specialist in AI applications, High Performance Computing and Big Data (Data Science), Executive Secretary of the Committee on AI under the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO.

Previously, he headed the supercomputing center at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, led research at the Max Planck Institute and Duisburg-Jessen University, worked at University College Dublin, Cambridge University, the Kurchatov Institute and the Pushchino Research Center

of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Winner of the Helmholtz Prize from IAPWS.

Author of more than 100 scientific publications, including those included in the top 1% of the most cited articles on relevant topics.
