— The climate policy in Russia is actively changing, which, first of all, is connected with the international climate agenda aimed at taking into account and

reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, the introduction of a carbon tax, as well as loud statements by companies and countries about the transition to carbon-neutral

development. Measures aimed at decarbonization of technological processes are quite diverse, some of them, for example, increasing

energy efficiency through modernization of equipment, digitalization of technological and management processes, can be realized by all companies, including

while most of the measures, such as the transition to low-carbon energy sources, carbon capture, storage and use, are more difficult to implement, due to technological difficulties, high economic costs and lack of government support for the implementation of projects. The low—carbon development of Russia as a whole and specific industrial enterprises creates a demand for scientific research, new technical and technological solutions, as well as personnel training, in connection with which the subject of the school is relevant enough and will allow choosing a further vector of development for representatives of education and science, government and business," explains Associate professor of the Department of Environmental Protection of Perm Polytech, researcher at the Laboratory of Rational Nature Management and Nature-like Technologies, Candidate of Technical Sciences Ekaterina Belik.
