A delegation of experts from the Center for Sociological Research from Moscow approved the development program of Kemerovo State University (the basic organization of the KuZbass Scientific and educational Center) for the next 10 years, as a result, the university will receive a grant for development in the amount of 100 million rubles.
"It is gratifying that our main university is developing, participates in programs organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, creates projects that will qualitatively affect the lives of Kuzbass residents. All this affects the improvement of the quality of Kuzbass education, forms a positive image of the university and ultimately attracts applicants, contributes to their desire to study and work further in their native region," said the Governor of Kuzbass Sergey Tsivilev.
In September 2021, KemSU became one of the 106 universities — winners of the Priority-2030 competition of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. Since that time, work has begun on the development of a strategic project to create the "Kuzbass Network University 4.0". This project involves the development of the university, which is based on the idea of collaboration of ecology, environmental and medical genetics, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, mathematical modeling, complex processes in medicine on the basis of a world-class medical clinical center being created.
"The list of the main tasks of the network university looks like the development of assisted reproductive technologies, the introduction of new technologies and techniques for endoscopic surgical treatment of cancer; the creation of modern implants for the needs of surgery; the development and implementation of developments to improve the quality and longevity of life in patients with cancer, as well as patients with cardiovascular pathology. The Kuzbass Network University 4.0 project also includes the development of a powerful infrastructure in Sheregesh," said Irina Ganieva, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kuzbass.
The implementation of the project involves cooperation in the scientific and educational spheres of the university with large medical centers and industrial partners producing innovative medical equipment and devices. The ultimate goal is the rapid transfer of scientific achievements to advanced programs of higher medical education and unique medical practices, treatment methods, medical materials and technologies, the achievement of a world—class quality of medical services and indicators of the effectiveness of treatment.
In addition, the experts of the Sociocenter today visited the Institute of Figures of KemSU, as well as the newly established medical institute. The program of the first day of the visit included a visit to the laboratory of phytoremediation of technogenically disturbed ecosystems and the laboratory of physico-chemical studies of pharmacologically active and natural compounds of KemSU. The delegation got acquainted with the teams of digital transformation projects, medical direction, Competence Factory, Academy of Geological Personnel Reserve of the Federal Service for Subsoil Use and other programs. It is also planned to discuss and conduct diagnostics of the current state and development of the university. The work of federal experts will continue until May 19.
