Natalia Kaspersky expressed her desire to cooperate with the world-class REC "Engineering of the Future" and solve the problems of software import substitution together

On June 23, Natalia Kaspersky, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Developers of software products "Domestic Software", representatives of the government of the Samara region, university staff, as well as representatives of 20 Samara companies discussed the development of the IT sector and ensuring import substitution, which the Government of the country requires from us. The event was organized by the management company of the world–class REC "Engineering of the Future" - "Institute of Regional Development".

On June 3, Natalia Kaspersky, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Developers of software Products "Domestic Software", representatives of the government of the Samara region, university staff, as well as representatives of 20 Samara companies discussed the development of the IT sector and ensuring import substitution, which the Government of the country requires from us. The event was organized by the management company of the world–class REC "Engineering of the Future" - "Institute of Regional Development".

Natalia Kaspersky spoke about the activities of the Association of Software Developers "Domestic Software", and the main achievements of the organization she called the creation of a catalog of compatibility of Russian software, which contains 13318 software products, and the preparation of a catalog of import substitution. It contains a list of domestic analogues of foreign software that have left Russia. This catalog allows large organizations to learn about Russian software and is already used by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation as an official list of IT companies in Russia. In addition, the association actively supports domestic IT companies and helps their development.

To support Samara developers, it was proposed to hold an open forum in the format of a free dialogue, which will pay special attention to the development of the IT sphere in our district and obtaining practical benefits for the participants. Representatives of large organizations that can become customers for local IT companies will be invited to the events. Natalia Kaspersky noted that the first forum is planned to be organized in early autumn of this year, but it will not be a one-time event, but an annual event.

Vadim Pavlov, head of the regional representative office of the management company REC "Engineering of the Future" in the Ulyanovsk region, head of the representative office of the Association of Developers of software products "Domestic Software" in the Volga Federal District invited the meeting participants to create a working group to prepare for the forum, which will work out the program of events

Special attention was paid to the issue of interaction between the world-class REC "Engineering of the Future" and the Association of Software Developers "Domestic Software".

Natalia Kaspersky expressed a desire to cooperate and jointly develop domestic IT products. The REC and the association, in her opinion, set themselves similar tasks: the REC addresses the issue of technology from a scientific point of view, and the association represents more the practical side. This suggests that there is an opportunity to work fruitfully together for the benefit of the domestic economy.

Olga Mikheeva, Advisor to the Governor of the Samara Region, General Director of the management company of the world-class scientific and educational center "Engineering of the Future" – "Institute of Regional Development" also commented on the cooperation initiative:

The "world-level REC" Engineering of the Future and the Association have common goals and objectives: import substitution, support of the domestic IT industry, development of cooperation between science and business. A different approach to solving them and achieving results can just increase the productivity of work in similar areas."

At the end of the meeting, the participants discussed ways to interact with companies that cannot become members of the association, but are engaged in IT activities. Representatives of the "Domestic Software" supported those who wished in this matter, noting that it is possible to sign a cooperation agreement with such companies.
