9/09/2021
The corresponding decree aimed at stimulating the development of science and innovation was signed by the Head of the region Radiy Khabirov. The competition will be held by the regional Ministry of Education and Science.

The republican program of state support for scientific research is designed until 2023, as well as for every subsequent four years, and involves the allocation of mega-grants in the amount of 300 million rubles (four grants for these purposes of 75 million rubles each).

Universities and scientific organizations of the republic – participants of the Eurasian REC can take part in the competition for obtaining megagrants.

The main criterion for obtaining a grant is the conduct of scientific research by educational and scientific organizations under the guidance of leading scientists with a world reputation.

The result of such studies should show a practical result – the creation of new laboratories with the conduct of fundamental and applied scientific research in priority areas of scientific and technical development of the country and the activities of the Eurasian REC.

"The megagrant program contributes to the integration of our republic into the world scientific environment and is of great importance not only from a scientific, but also from a foreign policy point of view. It will help to make structural changes not only in science and education, but also in the economy as a whole, " commented Ruslan Kazykhanov, Adviser to the Head of the Republic of Belarus on science.

Grants will be awarded based on the results of the selection conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bashkortostan together with the Grants Council of the Republic, which includes leading Russian scientists, representatives of federal and regional authorities.
