The cluster project will be implemented in cooperation with the interregional research and educational center, the creation of which Gazprom Neft, the government of the Tyumen Region and Tyumen State University agreed at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum in June 2019.

Gazprom Neft, the government of the Tyumen Region and the Association of Oil and Gas Service Companies signed an agreement to create a regional oil industry cluster. The document was signed by Alexander Dyukov, Chairman of the Board of Gazprom Neft, Alexander Moor, Governor of the Tyumen Region, and Vladimir Borisov, President of the Association of Oil and Gas Service Companies.

The cluster will include 25 oil service and industrial enterprises, a number of banks, technology parks and universities. Gazprom Neft and its subsidiaries operating in the Tyumen Region will become coordinators of joint projects. With the participation of the Scientific and Technical Center of the company, key areas have been identified: development of new technologies for hydrocarbon production, import substitution of equipment and materials, digitalization of technological processes, training and development of personnel of participating organizations.

The cluster projects will be implemented in cooperation with the interregional research and educational center, the creation of which was agreed by Gazprom Neft, the government of the Tyumen region and Tyumen State University (Tyumen State University) at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum in June 2019. As a result of the interaction of partners in the region, the entire cycle of technology creation will be carried out: from scientific developments to their industrial production and implementation. The innovations are planned to be applied at the assets of Gazprom Neft in the process of drilling and exploration of wells, enhanced oil recovery and in the preparation of “digital twins” of fields.

“In its development strategy until 2030, Gazprom Neft sets itself the goal of becoming the industry leader in terms of technology. To this end, we are creating a system in Russia that will unite the intellectual and production potential of domestic companies. Part of such a system will be a new large-scale oil industry cluster in Tyumen. It will make it possible to create technologies that are relevant for business and are in demand both in the Russian and international markets, ”said Alexander Dyukov, Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprom Neft.

Gazprom Neft is a strategic partner of the Tyumen Region. The regional government initiated an agreement on the creation of an oil industrial cluster, which will unite enterprises from different regions of the country to solve common technological goals. The main goal is the socio-economic development of the regions that participate in this project. The competencies and the level of tasks formed by Gazprom Neft will allow enterprises to re-equip technologically, apply modern approaches to scientific and technological development, and raise their level in accordance with the requirements of customers in the oil and gas industry. Already today there are 21 projects on which all cluster members are working. They will also have the opportunity to receive federal financial support, ”stressed the Governor of the Tyumen Region Alexander Moor.
