Perm REC will take part in the development of a software package for the Russian fuel and energy complex

11/05/2021
A meeting of REC and representatives of the Russian Energy Agency (REA) took place within the framework of the Perm Engineering and Industrial Forum.

REA was greatly interested in a number of developments in the field of digitalization of the oil production process, which have already been tested and implemented in the work of one of the partners of the REC "Rational Subsoil Use" – LUKOIL-Perm. Among them, for example, an engineering simulator of technological processes. The software package based on high-precision mathematical models allows using dynamic modeling to choose the optimal mode of operation of downhole equipment, timely carry out maintenance and repairs, reduce energy consumption, as well as conduct training of specialists. In addition, process modeling helps to carry out feasibility studies and design of field development.

Another product - the mobile application "Mobile Crawler" allows you to automate the work of specialists who regularly inspect equipment, oil and gas pipelines. The mobile application allows them to quickly receive tasks, report on their execution and automatically generate a report, thereby saving an average of 40 minutes per day for each crawler. At the same time, the application allows you to monitor the health and condition of the crawler himself in order to promptly send help if necessary. According to the data provided by REA at the meeting, during the surveys, the absolute majority of Russian companies in the oil and gas industry spoke in favor of creating domestic software for modeling and managing the production and transportation of hydrocarbons. It could replace the widespread foreign complexes OLGA and PIPESIM (Schlumberger, USA), PETEX (Petroleum Experts, UK) and others. Therefore, the creation of such software is included in the departmental program "Digital Energy". Considering that the REC developments are superior to foreign analogues in a number of parameters, the participation of Perm specialists in the development of industry-wide software will be very valuable. In addition, the mobile application for oil workers in the framework can be adapted to the needs of similar specialists in the electric grid sector. This also corresponds to the objectives of the Digital Energy program.
