PSNIU took part in the competitive selection of advanced engineering schools.

Perm University (PSNIU, a participant of the Perm REC) took part in the competitive selection for the creation of advanced engineering schools, presenting the project "Industrial Ecology and Biotechnology".

"The aim of the project is to achieve the technological sovereignty of the country in the field of industrial ecology and biotechnology through the training of highly qualified engineering personnel in the field of biotechnology (industrial, agricultural, medical), bioengineering and bioinformatics, management of natural engineering systems, biomedicine and pharmacy, sustainable ecosystem development to solve specific tasks of high–tech companies of the Russian Federation," says the Dean of the Faculty of Biology and one of the the initiator of the project is Andrey Yelkin.
The partners of the project, the implementation of which is calculated until 2030, were LLC Vostok (Kirov region), PJSC LUKOIL, PJSC Uralkali and others.
The total investment of participants in the project will amount to more than 1 billion rubles.
The PSNIU emphasizes that they are looking forward to the results of the conference, however, the ideas and approaches made during the formation of the application will be implemented within the framework of scientific research of the Priority 2030 Program.
The project "Advanced Engineering Schools" is aimed at training qualified engineering personnel for high-tech sectors of the economy. A total of 89 universities from 41 regions of Russia took part in the competitive selection in the Grants Council under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
As a result, 30 universities will be selected, which, in partnership with high-tech Russian companies, will open engineering schools of a new format in Russia.
