President of the Russian Academy of Science Alexander Sergeev held an open lesson for Bashkir schoolchildren

At the site of the Pinsky Engineering Lyceum No. 83, Alexander Sergeev held an open lesson for high school students of the basic schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The basic schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences are a joint project of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. The goal is to identify and prepare young talents for further careers in the field of science and high technology. Such interaction helps to develop the intellectual potential of the regions and the country as a whole.

The meeting with the students was held by the chairman of the SF Committee on Science, Education and Culture Lilia Gumerova:

"The entry of five educational institutions of Bashkortostan into the number of basic schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences is a powerful incentive for the development of the general education system of the region," the senator noted

In total, 108 schools from 32 subjects of Russia participate in the federal project "Basic Schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences". The republic was represented in the project by: MBOU "Engineering Lyceum No. 83 named after Pinsky M.S. UGNTU" Ufa, Gymnasium No. 1 Sterlitamak, Lyceum No. 1 Neftekamsk, gymnasium No. 64 Ufa, Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 93 Ufa.

The event was also attended by Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education Sergey Kabyshev, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Azat Badranov, Advisor to the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan for Science Ruslan Kazykhanov, Acting President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic Kamil Ramazanov, representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the region, directors and students of schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"Our task is to educate the technological elite," Academician Alexander Sergeev opened his speech.

According to the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the republic actively participates and implements projects in the scientific and technical sphere, thereby providing personnel for the technological future of the country.

"A Eurasian scientific and educational center has been created in the republic, a new student campus will be built, grant support for scientists is widely developed," Alexander Sergeev noted

Alexander Sergeev said that more than 1,500 students of the basic schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences have been conducting their research projects, and teachers of these schools regularly improve their competencies. And, as a result, more than 90% of graduates of basic schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences enter prestigious universities of the country.

Schoolchildren actively participated in the conversation and asked Alexander Sergeev difficult questions. The students were interested in which professions, according to the academician, will be relevant in the modern world, as well as which industries will be in demand in 3-5 years. The academician expressed confidence that engineering professions related to physics, chemistry and even engineering biology will always be relevant. "It is important to choose a mentor, your supervisor from among the experts who will guide you along the scientific trajectory you have chosen," he noted.

The students asked the academician to tell about breakthrough and significant scientific projects of Russian scientists, support measures that will create new opportunities for the realization of young talents.

At the end of the open lesson, Senator Lilia Gumerova presented letters of thanks from the SF Committee on Science, Education and Culture to the directors of the basic schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences of Bashkortostan, and the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sergeev presented books with a gift inscription to the students who asked the most interesting questions.
