The work of Academician Zinfer Ismagilov (FITZ UUH SB RAS – member of the REC "KuZbass") included in the list of "10 breakthrough ideas" of SPIEF-2022

Global Energy presented a new report "10 Breakthrough Ideas in the Energy sector for the next ten years" in a plenary report at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum SPIEF-2022. A new research paper "Obtaining hydrogen from coal mine methane" by Zinfer Ismagilov, academician, professor, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, scientific director of the FIT of Coal and Coal Chemistry SB RAS, and his colleagues was included in the list of "10 breakthrough ideas in energy for the next ten years".

Sergey Brilev, President of the Global Energy Association, noted: "A number of innovations presented in the report will increase the demand for traditional energy sources in the low–carbon age: among them is the capture of carbon dioxide from the air, as well as the production of hydrogen from coal mine methane."

This is the second work of the academician, which is presented in the report at the SPIEF. In 2021, the report of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak "10 breakthrough ideas in the energy sector for the next ten years" highlighted the work of Zinfer Ismagilov "Catalytic methods of processing carbon dioxide from coal generation into useful products".
