"We have signed important agreements that will allow us to work together. The oil industry is facing more and more challenges: both the energy transition and the growing complexity of field development – there is something to work on. I think the effectiveness of cooperation will be high, " Viktor Martynov stressed.

Following the agreement, a roadmap for its implementation will be prepared, but the main areas of cooperation are already clear.

"We are very pleased that Gubkin Russian State University - the undisputed leader in science and education in the oil and gas industry – is becoming a partner of the REC and sees a wide range of areas for cooperation. These include interaction with the Educational and Methodological Council of the Russian State University in the preparation and improvement of textbooks and courses on oil and gas topics, the development of network educational programs. In addition, Gubkin University has unique competencies in gas production and processing, which can complement the developments on oil topics that are now formed by the REC participants. Another area is cooperation within the framework of the Russian National Committee of the World Petroleum Council, which includes both the Russian State University and the REC, and this gives us the opportunity to jointly participate in shaping the image of the Russian oil and gas industry, including in the international arena," said Pavel Ilyushin, Director of the ANO REC.
