SAFU and AGD-Diamonds JSC signed a new agreement on the development of cooperation

This week, a working meeting was held between the Rector of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov and the General Director JSC "AGD DIAMONDS" Gennady Pivnya. During the communication, the parties discussed the implementation of a joint project "Organization of production for the synthesis of single crystals of diamond and the manufacture of single crystal diamond products" within the framework of the interregional scientific and educational center REC "Russian Arctic", which received support from the Government Arkhangelsk Region, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia and other federal agencies.

The plans, which included the creation of a laboratory for the diagnosis of carbon materials with wide-band optical properties, the development of measuring stands for single crystals of diamonds with NV centers, as well as the preparation of production sites of AGD DIAMONDS, have now been completed.

— All this required a lot of preliminary work. Including the search for leading research teams, the involvement of young researchers, the attraction of grants and contractual works for the implementation of some research and development projects. What we have successfully coped with, acquiring unique experience and competencies," said Marat Yeseev, Vice—Rector for Innovative Development and scientific director of the world—class REC "Russian Arctic".

During the meeting, a new agreement was signed on cooperation and exchange of scientific and technical information and further participation in joint practical projects. The parties expressed their readiness to assist each other in conducting research, exchange materials and equipment, as well as constructive solutions and technological experience.

— We are full—fledged partners, and a new agreement is necessary to consolidate our further in-depth cooperation on this project, - stressed Marat Yeseev. — We need such precedents for the development of high-tech

production facilities in the North. We have opportunities to create unique products based on quantum technologies that either have no analogues in the world or are at the forefront of scientific and technological progress.
