Schoolchildren and students design satellite dishes at KuzSTU (participant of the REC "Kuzbass")

Employees of the research center "Space Technologies" at KuzSTU conducted an educational course on the basics of developing antennas for receiving signal from satellites - Kuzbass schoolchildren and students of the Kuzbass State Technical University became its participants.

The guys analyzed the theory of satellite antenna design, and applied the knowledge gained in practice. From water pipes and electrical wires, they built a real antenna capable of receiving the signal of the Kuzbass-300 satellite. According to Vladislav Nemov, the head of the Mission Control Center of KuzSTU, the resulting antenna is not as powerful as professional MCC antennas, but still it can be used to communicate with small spacecraft at a decent level. Soon, young engineers will try out their invention and receive a telemetry signal from a satellite.
