At the Siberian State Industrial University (participant of the REC "Kuzbass") we have opened a new computer audience. During the semester, 100 students of the Institute of Mining and Geosystems will be able to study there.
The new auditorium is equipped with 10 workplaces. They are equipped with modern personal computers on which specialized programs for 3D modeling, evaluation of mineral deposits, design and planning of mining operations are installed. Such software is used by advanced mining enterprises of the country. There is also a screen and a projector in the auditorium.
Students will master modern methods of structuring mining and geological data, apply digital technologies to obtain information about the quality indicators of coal, the volume of its reserves, tectonic disturbances, features of the occurrence of layers. They will also calculate the optimal sequence of field development, plan dumps, technological roads, and the number of quarry equipment involved.
