Technical universities of the Eurasian REC will train personnel for high-tech sectors of the economy

The second module of the strategic session of the Eurasian REC, dedicated to the implementation of the federal project to create advanced engineering schools in the regions of Russia, started today on the basis of the Ufa State Aviation Technical University.

The second module of the strategic session of the Eurasian REC, dedicated to the implementation of the federal project to create advanced engineering schools in the regions of Russia, started today on the basis of the Ufa State Aviation Technical University.

Within the framework of the current session "Designing a target model of an advanced engineering school", participants will present, among other things, the results of their work on the intermodule. Recall that the project work on the creation of a PISH in the region started in February on the basis of the Ufa State Petroleum Technical University.

The first module of the strategic session of the technical universities of the Eurasian REC was built on the definition by the participants of the goals, objectives and basic vectors of the development of a new project, which will be reflected in the program for the creation of advanced engineering schools in the region in the future.

Ruslan Kazykhanov, Advisor to the Head of the Republic of Belarus on Science Issues, opened the strategic session:

"Now we need to look several steps forward: in the current conditions, we must provide highly qualified specialists to the Russian industry and the smooth operation of enterprises, creating not only import substitution products, but also import savings."

The winning universities of the competition will not only have to create a school, but also organize student internships, internships with mentors from state corporations and large high—tech companies, as well as retraining of teachers.

Now it is extremely important to achieve technological independence in the shortest possible time, including with the help of personnel, which is based on a strong and diversified industry.

Technical universities of the Eurasian REC, developing their existing skills, are working on the creation of the "Eurasian Polytechnic School" and the "Higher Engineering School of Aerospace Technologies". They are also strategic projects of universities within the framework of the strategic academic leadership program "Priority 2030".

New projects based on Ufa universities affect significant areas in the oil and gas and petrochemical industry, aviation, space and carbon topics. It is planned that superexperimental laboratories, digital factories, technoparks with experimental productions, modern equipment, powerful computing systems, and Russian application software will operate on the basis of engineering schools.

The engineering schools created on the basis of universities will develop and implement new educational programs for advanced training of engineering personnel, conduct advanced training and professional retraining courses on the basis of high-tech companies. This also includes the passage of internships and internships by technological undergraduates outside the educational process.

Within the framework of the current session "Designing a target model of an advanced engineering school", participants will present, among other things, the results of their work on the intermodule and will search for industrial partners who will become participants in the implementation of the advanced engineering school project.

The participants of the session were welcomed by the Rector of UGATU Sergey Novikov:

"Today we should not offer the ideas of today, but act at a faster pace. I think it is especially correct to choose two main vectors - the aircraft industry and the oil industry, because from the point of view of sanctions strikes, they are most susceptible to attacks. And we have to rely on industrial partners, of which there are more and more."

Recall that the Russian Government announced the training of engineers to solve problems dictated by the situation in the economy. The project to create advanced engineering schools was included in the list of 42 strategic initiatives of the Government of the Russian Federation aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens. More than 36 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget for the creation of schools in 2022-2024.
