Technological solutions for the introduction of alternative energy sources will be presented at SFUR-2022

Alternative energy sources are one of the activities of the world–class interregional scientific and educational center "North: Territory of Sustainable Development", created by integrating the North-Eastern Federal University and other scientific institutes and organizations of higher education. The participants of the round table, which will be held within the framework of the Northern Forum, will exchange ideas, requests and technological solutions in this direction.

The issues of finding alternative energy sources are of great relevance – the regions are joining the carbon agenda and taking on

carbon neutrality obligations. The participating regions of the REC "North" are Yakutia, Sakhalin, Magadan Regions, Kamchatka Krai and Chukotka

carbon neutrality, emphasizes the head of the interregional project office of the REC "North" Evgeny Kolganov.

"That is why we involve partners in the work of the round table "Air, water, sun: alternative energy sources in the projects of the REC "North": how

representatives of both organizations and organizations of the real sector, so that some share their requests, ideas and trends that they see in alternative energy sources, and others – solutions and proposals for technologies that could be implemented in the future," said Evgeny Kolganov.

According to him, at the moment scientific organizations participating in the REC have various developments in this area: a large number of them are related to

with hydrogen. For example, methods for producing hydrogen by pyrolysis, thermolysis and electrolysis. "We cannot say that we offer any universal solutions within the framework of the agenda. The situation in each territory is different, and one or another solution needs to be selected taking into account their characteristics," he emphasizes.

The main mission of REC "North" is to accelerate the transfer of technologies, knowledge and personnel to various sectors of the economy of the northern regions. The Northern Forum contributes to networking and helps industrial partners and scientific organizations to learn about advanced developments, Evgeny Kolganov believes: "Following the results of the round table, we expect the emergence of new partnerships.

Often such technological solutions are complementary: the partnership is not only at the level of "industrial partner and scientific organization", it is also an association of scientific organizations to develop solutions that meet the customer's needs."

The Scientific and Educational Center "North: the Territory of Sustainable Development" was established by Decree of the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) No. 740 dated 16.09.2019 by integrating scientific, research and educational resources of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the FIT of the Yakut Scientific Center of the SB RAS, scientific institutes of the SB RAS, Northeastern Federal University with organizations, operating in the real sector of the economy.

Earlier, NEFU Rector Anatoly Nikolaev noted: "REC "North" will enable the science of the North-Eastern Federal University, scientific institutions and industrial partners in maximum collaboration to implement those ideas that will make a breakthrough in the development of the economy not only of Yakutia, but also of the entire macroregion. We set a task for people to come to our republic to study, we want to consolidate young people in the region. REC "North" will allow you to do this."
