As part of the #MAKS-2021 business program, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Ufa State Aviation Technical University and the Yu.A. Gagarin. A roadmap has been developed, which provides for three areas of joint activities:
- Training of specialists for the CPC on the basis of USATU (including targeted training). The leading experts of the CPC will be involved in participation in the educational process of the university, the work of the SEC, the formation of topics for coursework and graduation qualifications, and practical training. Also, among students, the selection and training of applicants for astronauts is provided.
- Advanced training of the teaching staff and specialists of the CTC and USATU: retraining of the CTC staff; training of CTC specialists in the postgraduate study of the university; passing the candidate minimum, defense in the councils of the USATU; internships for the teaching staff of the university at the CPC; joint publications and conferences; participation of the staff of the CTC in the work of the dissertation councils of the USATU.
- Conducting joint experimental research on board the ISS in the field of integrated photonics technologies to assess the effectiveness of the use of fiber-optic systems using integrated photonics devices in a space station.
The agreement also provides for the possibility of organizing thematic competitions for students, conducting research projects, and developing innovations.
