Twenty municipalities of the republic will have the opportunity to implement the practice of initiative budgeting based on the initiatives of schoolchildren.

"As the practice of implementing the program to support local initiatives has shown, projects related to schools are of particular relevance among residents of the republic. It is this typology of projects that remains in the first place from year to year, ahead of, say, projects related to road construction and other types of projects," commented Ruslan Kazykhanov, Adviser to the Head of Science.

Recall that in order to effectively implement the program of the world-class Eurasian Scientific and Educational Center and the development of a network of pre-universities in Bashkortostan, the Head of the Republic signed a decree on "The implementation of initiative budgeting projects based on the initiatives of schoolchildren and on the development of a network of pre-universities in municipalities of the Republic of Belarus" (No. UG-47306 dated September 6, 2021).

Municipalities of the republic will be able to receive state support for the implementation of projects initiated by schoolchildren until 2024 inclusive. Students will be involved in the processes of developing ideas for improving the infrastructure of the school and its territory, as well as in the implementation of these projects. REC will act as the operator of this competition.

Within the framework of this project, it is planned to implement at least 60 projects initiated by schoolchildren this year. For these purposes, 30 million rubles are allocated from the republic's budget.

The project provides for mandatory co-financing from municipalities (at least 10% of the requested subsidy) and participation in the implementation of the project of the council of school students over 14 years of age, the parent committee and the Board of Trustees.

One project proposal can be sent from the school to the republican competition. At the same time, the maximum activity of students participating in the project will add more chances to win the school application.

"What matters here is the number of students who took part in the school-wide voting, the number and quality of projects discussed at school, the quality of presentation material and much more," explained Liya Nasretdinova, head of the Center for the study of civil Initiatives of the ANO "UK REC RB".

The proposals of schoolchildren can be aimed at conducting research, educational, educational, sports and creative events, arranging recreation areas at school, music and television studios and media centers, cinemas, equipping sports grounds, updating the interior design of the school and much more.

Currently, representatives of the center are conducting training seminars for schoolchildren. Training for participation in the new project has already been held in 7 municipal districts and 3 urban districts of Bashkortostan: Chishminsky, Sterlibashevsky, Meleuzovsky, Davlekanovsky, Alsheyevsky, Belebeyevsky, Tuymazinsky municipal districts, as well as in Sibai, Salavat and Oktyabrsky.

The students offered a lot of creative ideas to improve the school space. This includes the arrangement of a laboratory for 3D modeling, an interactive linguistic class, a music and television studio and much more.

Within the framework of the training seminar, students learned to calculate the cost of implementing their initiative, worked out information and propaganda campaigns, presented their project proposals.
