Days of Russian Science kicked off in Kuzbass

From February 1 to February 26, the region will host more than 500 events of various formats. Participants of scientific forums and laboratories will be teachers and students of Kuzbass universities, as well as employees of the Research Institute for Complex Problems of Cardiovascular Diseases and the Federal Research Center for Coal and Coal Chemistry of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"2021, the anniversary year for Kuzbass, was declared the Year of Science and Technology by Russian President Vladimir Putin. This is symbolic, because the discoveries of our scientists are regularly translated into real innovative projects that benefit the entire region. According to the results of 2020 alone, almost 18 million rubles in grants were allocated for the implementation of 36 promising projects within the framework of cooperation with the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. Unique inventions and breakthrough ideas in the mining industry, metallurgy, chemistry and other areas help Kuzbass enterprises to develop, " said Sergey Tsivilev, Governor of Kuzbass.
The central event of the Days of Science-2021 will be the scientific and practical forum "Digital Transformation of the Kuzbass Economy", which will be held on February 11. A panel discussion and an exhibition of projects of participants and partners of the Kuzbass REC are planned.
In addition, as part of the Days of Science, KemSU will host a panel discussion "Scientific Breakthrough in the industrial region: Digital transformation in the coal industry". Everyone will be able to get acquainted with the local planetarium and the center for additional education "House of Scientific Collaboration". Scientific events are also planned in other universities of Kuzbass. So, on the basis of KuzSTU, an International innovative mining Symposium will be held, on the site of SibGIU-the festival of youth technological creativity # Tolstoguzov100, in KuzGSHA-the All-Russian seminar "Genetic technologies in agriculture and ecology".
The Federal Research Center for Coal and Coal Chemistry will host the defense of regional projects of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. The Research Institute of Complex Problems of Cardiovascular Diseases will host lectures by cardiologists. Thematic exhibitions, lectures and excursions will be organized in KemGIK and KemSMU.
Traditionally, the program of the Days of Science will include awarding prizes based on the results of defending candidate and doctoral theses and awarding the winners of regional competitions among graduate students and young scientists.
