The government of the Tula region discussed the development of science in various sectors of the region's economy

Today, the government of the Tula region held an expanded meeting of the Public Council at the Tula Regional Duma of the 7th convocation.

The main agenda of the meeting is the development of science and the expansion of the use of modern technologies in various sectors of the economy of the Tula region.

The meeting was attended by:

- Chairman of the Tula Region Committee on Science and Innovation Anton Emelianenko,

- Deputy Minister - Director of the Education Department of the Ministry of Education of the Tula Region Elena Pchelina,

-and about. Rector of TulSU Oleg Kravchenko,

-rector of TSPU named after L.N. Tolstoy Vladimir Panin,

- Director of the Tula branch of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation Gennady Kuznetsov,

Vasily Sazonov, Deputy General Director of ANO REC “Tulatech”.

Anton Emelianenko spoke about the implementation of two large-scale federal projects in the region.

“The strategic goal of REC“ TulaTECH ”is the creation by 2025 in the Tula region of a managed cooperative structure for the development, production and sale of products and technologies of military, civil and dual-use world-class. Within the REC "TulaTECH" today 14 scientific and technological projects are being carried out, more than a billion rubles of investments have been attracted, 6 new infrastructure facilities and 1 specialized service center have been created, 206 patents have been registered. This year, within the framework of the Science and Universities national project, new scientific youth laboratories will be created under the guidance of young and promising researchers. "

The second project is the Composite Valley Research and Development Center, which is aimed at research in the field of multifunctional materials, chemical components and technologies for their production, as well as the design of products from composite materials. A number of tax and other preferences are provided for members of the INTC.

In order to support fundamental and applied scientific research, the government of the Tula region in the field of science and technology provides support measures in the form of grants and regional awards. In the future, it is planned to launch a competition for mega-grants and the introduction of additional measures of financial support for applicants for scientific degrees. All projects are being implemented in accordance with the priorities of the country's Science and Technology Development Strategy.

As a reminder, 2021 has been declared the Year of Science and Technology in Russia. The Tula region is one of the regions that actively implements activities within the framework of the Science and Universities national project. One of the main goals of the national project is to ensure the attractiveness of work in Russia for Russian and foreign leading scientists and young promising researchers.
