The company "SDS-Ugol" (participant of the REC "Kuzbass") will cooperate with the KAMAZ concern within the framework of the world-class scientific and educational center project

JSC HC "SDS-Ugol" and KAMAZ company will cooperate in the field of creation of new and adaptation of modern transport technologies for mining industries.

As part of this task, a quadrilateral cooperation agreement was signed in Naberezhnye Chelny (Republic of Tatarstan) between KAMAZ PJSC, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, T.F. Gorbachev KuzSTU, and JSC HC SDS-Ugol.

The document was signed by Deputy General Director of KAMAZ PJSC - Development Director Irek Gumerov, Vice-Rector for Economics and Innovation of MSTU Evgeny Starozhuk, Rector of KuzSTU Alexey Yakovlev and General Director of JSC HC "SDS-Ugol" Gennady Alekseev. The meeting was attended by representatives of the governments of Tatarstan and Kuzbass: First Deputy Governor of Kuzbass - Chairman of the Government of Kuzbass Vyacheslav Telegin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Vasil Shaikhraziev, Deputy Governor of Kuzbass for Industry, Transport and Ecology Andrey Panov.

"The use of unmanned vehicles will improve the safety of transportation, as the driver will be removed from the hazardous area of mining operations, and will also reduce the negative impact on the environment by reducing fuel consumption," said Gennady Alekseev, General Director of HC "SDS-Ugol" JSC.

Pilot tests of the KAMAZ unmanned dump truck are being conducted jointly with the Kuzbass REC as part of the full innovation cycle program of the integrated scientific and technical program "Clean Coal - Green Kuzbass". Recall that the holding company "SDS-Ugol" is an industrial partner of the Scientific and Educational Center "Kuzbass", and in 2019, the unmanned driving mode of the KAMAZ car was tested at the Listvyazhnaya mine (JSC HC "SDS-Ugol").
