Training under the program of additional education "Industrial aquaculture"has begun at the M. V. Lomonosov NArFU

This program was developed by the Center for the development of competencies of heads of scientific, scientific and technical projects and laboratories of the directorate of the world-class REC "Russian Arctic: new materials, technologies and research methods" and LLC "Russian Sea-Aquaculture".

The unique program was attended by teachers and postgraduates of leading universities in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Petrozavodsk, Voronezh, Kaliningrad, Astrakhan, Krasnodar and Arkhangelsk.

— Our program is really unique, — says Elena Vasendina, director of the competence development center of the directorate of the REC "Russian Arctic", - we have gathered a team of qualified specialists, and we have built the entire training process in such a way that step by step the students of the program will build a chain of knowledge and skills in the field of industrial aquaculture. They will definitely be able to apply all the knowledge in practice.

How has the industry changed in the conditions of the pandemic, what prospects are opening up in the development of global and domestic aquaculture? How to reduce risks in a constantly changing external environment? Students will receive answers to these and many other questions within the framework of six modules of the training program. The participants have already listened to a lecture by a teacher from Norway and got acquainted with the history and trends of world aquaculture. Federal agencies have also joined the work, in particular, practitioners from the Federal Agency for Fisheries and the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography.

During the training, participants will visit the advanced laboratories of the Lomonosov NArFU, get acquainted with the work of the Solzensky Production and Experimental salmon Plant in Severodvinsk and visit the production sites of the Russian Sea-Aquaculture LLC in Murmansk.

It should be noted that this is the first joint program of the competence development center of the directorate of the world-class REC " Russian Arctic "and LLC"Russian Sea - Aquaculture". All students of the Industrial Aquaculture program will receive a diploma of professional retraining after passing the final interdisciplinary exam.
